I do not believe that all consulting companies are alike. They may have a similar operating model and thus similar issues like turnover. But their attitude towards their employees differs substantially. Most of us consultants do not have a source of information on how good a consulting company is and most of do not share information. I checked out these sites (http://jobvendorreview.com and http://skipnext.com ) before switching and noticed that we are a reluctant community to share information.

There are MANY MANY Chinese in the same situation but I guess there might not have so many Chinese in IV. IV core group may think of some better way to reach more Chinese or other communities.

people this is such less amount, ready to pay so much money for renewing visas etc, but you can't sign up for 20 or 50 every month. This is really becoming like begging..I do understand everyone has family commitment and other financial need but $20/month is not too much !!

Wow, I am in exactly same boat, So , basically FP results are blocking EAD card production!!... next renewal, It will paper based EAD.!!

Receipt notices received: 1st week of June
FP done: June 19th
Card production ordered LUD: June 28th
Other soft LUDs: July 25th, July 27th
Still waiting...

Per the guy at the InfoPass counter, the FP report was received on July 24th (which probably explains the July 25th LUD). He said EAD will not be printed or sent out before FP check is complete. In 2007, they did not run FP checks to issue the first EAD after July fiasco.
So could this explain the delay that folks here are seeing? FP Code 2 was done for EAD, so not sure why this should take so long :mad: Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought that only FP Code 3 that's done for I-485 can take a long, long time. Can someone post info on EAD FP checks?

Both of you can apply 485 based on your own PD but do not apply the other as dependent 485. That way you are not taking any chances. The only dis advantage is both of you will get GC at different times as they'll be processed independently. Both of you will have two chances with either one in the long run!!!

I am having hard time procuring a Non-availability of Birth record certificate(NAC) from my home city of Delhi. Is there a way around this? I do have affidavits from my parents.
This NAC is holding up my application. Can we submit the document that you get in 10th grade with date of birth instead of the NAC. The NAC process takes a month or so, Police check...local magistrate orders the local municipal corporation et al.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciates. Sorry if this post is in the wrong thread.
Get a new BC made, and attach 2 affidatvits. I was able to get the new BC in 2 days. Though 'coz I was bon in a Hospital in Delhi, they could locate my records and the new BC specifies that Date registered was 28 years ago. It costed my parents about Rs2000, they got hold of a dalal in from of the NDMC office and he was able to get everything done. According to them there are tons of people standing there getting these things done.

I applied for H1 and H4 for my Family in 2005. I was working on L visa that time. Our H1 and h4 got approved in October 2005 but we were in India that time. We came to US again on L Visa in 2006.
After coming on L visa my new employer applied for my H1 change of status again in 2006 but not for family. Their H4 from 2005 was valid till 2008.
But Now while I am changing my job, New attorney says that my family is out of status and because we did not file H4 for them again.
What is the alternative to bring them in status. They have vaild i-94 from L2 which is valid till 2009 and they have approved h4 from 2005 which is valid till 2008.
Now my new employer have started my H1 transfer. I am thinking that for my family I will apply H4 change of status once my approval comes. Is that Okay or there is any other alternative to bring them in the status.
My family can not travel to India for H4 stamping till the end of this year. My wife will be delivering a baby in October. Will there be any problem for my new born baby for the passport?
Please advise.

there is nothing to sensationalise or freaking out . if you see the subsequent post and reading all relevant materials , you will understand that few are trying to keep CIR alive while many want it to be killed. Since i keep scourging to see if any new is available about the conference and have not seen the house clerk reporting the reciept of the CIR, i was just asking a question to find out if anyone had any news reading sobers post on blue slip, is some news......

There isn't much to be calculated for EB3. With spillover practically non-existent for EB3, we can easily calculate our wait times from pending inventory data published by USCIS.
The only positive development is that 245(i) cases that has been eating into EB3 quota is done with. So dates are no longer stuck at april 2001. We should see a slow but steady movement. Unless some spillover happens once EB2 has become current/close to current, I don't see much hope without legislation.
For those folks who think of not participating, consider these facts. Aman Kapoor and other IV core folks who already got their GCs are still working for our cause. There are lot of EB2 members among IV volunteers who work for this cause. We shouldn't just think of this as our personal issue. Rather we should consider this an issue for the entire EB community and work to resolve it.
