Getting any sort of data out of any of the immigration agencies is often frustrating. Especially something like how many eb2 I-140 did they accept, approve, deny... However, they do randomly throw number out and we can scavenge through them for `clues'. Here is one such link.
USCIS: National Processing Volumes and Trends (http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=7&office=5&charttype=1)

    I agree, thanks.

I didn't get the phone# for USCIS compaint dept. But some one(may be ashres11) posted one phone#18003238603 for DHS. I called that number and it turned out Inspector General office. As i reported earlier. He told me to call regular USCIS 800. I said it's useless. He took some note and asked to call this new number 877-246-8253.

    E-mail :
    cisombudsman.trends@dhs.gov
    joint.intake@dhs.gov

    Fax :
    202-344-3390

I got the LIN# I-765 from congresswoman office per USCIS reply.

I had followed your footsteps Cadude long time back. One quick question, how to I bug USCIS complaint dept.. or inquiry dept. any email or fax number?
I am in corresp. with my senator and congressman.
    Thanks
ps : Did you call USCIS to make sure your checks are encashed or got LIN numbers?
I know you got your I-765 numbers.

I am not an expert but I have a hunch that EB2 India will progress to Jun 1 2006.

Based on your calculations , Experts, please let us know what to expect, if 12000 GC are released for EB2. Where will the cutoff come and stop..
Can you please post that link that shows how many are waiting year-wise.

Guys do not feed the freeloaders by telling anything you are reading in the donor forum. Let these people help themselves by signing up for recurring contributions if they want helpful nformation about their EB2 PD movemement. We are still not meeting of our advocacy day amount. It is all because most people want free lunches. This needs to stop. The 200 people going to DC tomorrow are going to speak for you and me for yours and mine greencard. They are taking time off and spending own money for you and me. Nothing is free in this world. IV is also doing this for you and me and we are taking it for granted. Let people do some good deed today if they want to know good information

I am not sure if u were born as an idiot or became an idiot after being turning a so called "donor".
To be frank I stopped contributing as and when IV started having donor forums.

There are thousands of websites and forums througout the internet to get info and what VKBris posted may not even come close to what Q and Teddy and so many others used to share as a group.

Now coming on to freebies,What benefit does IV provide to past contributors.I have contributed in the past, have been active at the initial stages, have spent my own money and booked airtickets to meet senators.Been a leader in a state chapter. But later realised that it was not worth for this forum which has partitions among so called donors.

Why the heck does any one want to see in a home page about posts on a donor forum.Just hide it and keep it among yourself and discuss .

Now red may follow, and a possible ban.

I received a phone call (WOW!) from a sweet lady from CIS Ombudsman's office. I sent letters to his office and in the letter I mentioned my cell #. Anyway she wants a real person who got deniel. I told her that my friend got deniel (IVens are my fried). Anyway, she sent an email too after I asked her to give her info so that my friend can send her his case details. Unfortunately, the email I received shortly after the conversation, looks like general and does not have her ID. Please PM me if you like to hear more about the phone call.
    ==================
Thank you for your correspondence to the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (CIS Ombudsman).

We greatly appreciate your comments regarding issues concerning the American Competitiveness Act in the Twenty-First Century Act of 2000 (AC21) processing at the service centers. As we have received several inquiries such as yours, we are currently discussing these issues with USCIS and reviewing their policies and procedures regarding adjudication of these petitions.

If you have evidence of a specific I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status case that you feel was erroneously denied due to USCIS not adhering to AC21 guidelines, we kindly ask that you please immediately forward us a case problem request, including a copy of your denial notice, detailed information as to the reasons for the immediate denial, and, if appropriate, evidence that you have submitted a Motion to Reopen or Reconsider.

Instructions for completing a DHS Form 7001 (case problem) can be found on our website: http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/programs/editorial_0497.shtm#10.

Please submit your case problem and supporting documents via email to cisombudsman@dhs.gov or via facsimile to 202-357-0042 with the subject AC21 Evidence of Immediate Denial.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    CIS Ombudsman
    (cmp)
Thank you gc4me for sharing info.

Its very good that they are taking notice of the issue. It would have been great if their follow-up email had some more details but in any case please share any info (like phone number your received call from) with pd_recapturing - he is culling info together from the people who are really affected.

If anyone else receive similar call - please try to get their direct contact details (it might help in our next steps being co-ordinated by chanduv, pd_recapturing, itsnotfunny and a bunch of other volunteers).

In 2004, a friend moved within the same Multinational company (A) from one business (A1) to another (A2). The HR department did not apply for an H1 transfer assuming that one was not needed, and the friend worked for a few months before the business A2 was sold off, and the new company realized the mistake, and filed for her H1 transfer, which was approved. The new company then filed for her labor and got her I-140 approved.

Can the friend now file for AOS? Was the period that she worked for A2 'unauthorized'? Does that preclude her from adjusting her status now?

I am guessing that a lot of employers/people might have made similar mistakes through no faults of their own. Whats the solution here?

    Hi

I have a approved i140 with priority date of Dec 2004 EB2. My spouse has approved i140 with priority date Mar 2006 EB2.

Since it is not recomended to apply 2-1485's we decided to settle on mine. But then, since we both have our H1's for next 3 years, we don't want to use EAD and AP till the final process of GC is done.

My question is should we apply for EAD and AP or not. This question exists in the questionaire given by my employer.

    Please advice.

    Thanks,
    Arml

On a more practical note, I would lawyer up, collect evidence, spin up a multi-million dollar lawsuit, and use settlement money to sip MaiTai on some beach in Lanai, while the harasser gets to suck on cock-meat sandwiches in the nearest penitentiary.

question: can I file without employer letter
For an employment-based petition, in order to proceed and be valid,
    they
need to still INTEND to be employed by the sponsoring employer if and
    when
they get their green card. The employer however, does not need to sign
    any
forms per se with relation to the adjustment petition. If the alien is
currently working for the sponsoring employer (on H-1B or other) he or
    she
can port or transfer employers without penalty or without losing the
    green
card process 180 days after they file the I-485 petition. At that
    point,
they can change employers and work for whomever they wish (provided
    they
    have a valid work permit)

    The forms which need to be filed with the I-485 include;

Form I-485 for EACH applicant with $325 filing fee ($225 if under age
    14)
    Proof of approved I-140
    Form G-325A for each applicant
    G-28, if attorney involved
Form I765 Work Permit (optional) (filing fee of $180)
Form I-131 Travel Permit (optional) (filing fee of $170)
Fingerprint fee of $70 for each
Medical examination by INS approved doctor
Passport, visa, approval notices and I-94 card showing all years in the
    US
in valid status and maintenance of status
Marriage certificate, birth certificates of children.
Form I-134 Affidavit of Support (notarized) or I-864, with tax returns
    (1
year must be attached, but income for three years must be listed); job
letter from the alien's current employer; and pay-stubs.
If the alien is NOT yet working for the sponsoring employer, I like to
include a letter from the employer stating that if and when the alien
    gets
his residency, they still intend to hire him or her.

    Hope this answers the questions.
